StartupStar is a Windows utility that enables you to take full control over the programs that start up automatically with the system. This will enable you to discover and eliminate those nasty trojans, viruses, adware, and nagging programs that are loaded automatically and don't offer you the option to disable them. The program categorizes these programs according to their start up method.

It shows the programs that are on the start up folder. In addition, it shows different places of the registry that are commonly used. Additionally, you will be able to see applications that were added to your win.ini file as a startup method.

One of the main advantages of the program is the ability to automatically remove a certain program's entry in case it tries to add itself again. However, it also has disadvantages: it doesn't cover many other start up methods such as Windows services and drivers which are commonly used by modern advanced trojans and other malware applications.

The interface of the program looks like the shell folder view of Microsoft Windows XP which makes it easy to deal with. Moreover, you will have the ability to choose between three different skins.
